SKY Facility Services keeps restaurant grease traps and interceptors pumped on schedule and documented for your municipality, and booked around your rush hours so your line keeps moving. Grease traps are where we start. Hood cleaning is next, and the goal is one vendor for your entire site, roof to parking lot.
Most pumping companies have never run a kitchen. We have. SKY Facility Services was founded by a multi-unit QSR franchisee who got tired of vendors who skimmed the top of the trap, left no paperwork, and only showed up after the drains backed up.
We built the company we wished we could hire: on schedule, pumped out completely, logged every visit, and in and out between your rushes.
Founded and owned by an active Wendy’s franchisee and CPA. We understand food cost, health inspections, bylaw officers, and why a backed-up drain on a Friday night is not an option.
Every service removes the floating grease, the water, and the settled solids at the bottom. Walls and baffles are scraped, and inlet and outlet are checked, so the trap actually works until the next visit.
Every visit closes with a maintenance log entry, before-and-after photos, and a disposal record, ready when your municipality’s sewer-use officer asks.
We put you on a recurring cycle sized to your trap and your volume, at a time that stays clear of your breakfast, lunch and dinner peaks. You never have to remember to call us.
Scheduled pump-outs for indoor grease traps and outdoor interceptors, documented for your sewer-use bylaw.
The same truck, the same visit: pumping and hauling for everything else on your lot.
NFPA 96 cleaning of your kitchen exhaust system, done overnight.
The average restaurant juggles six to ten facility vendors — each with its own schedule, its own invoice, its own insurance certificate, and its own excuse. We know, because we manage them for our own restaurants.
SKY is being built to replace that list. Grease traps are where we start. Every service below is part of the plan, added one at a time, held to the same standard: on schedule, to code, documented, and done without getting in the way of your service.
NFPA 96 bare-metal cleaning with certificate and sticker.
Recurring baffle filter swaps between deep cleans.
Fryers, grills, walls, ceilings and back-of-house detail cleans.
Scheduled pumping with disposal records for municipal bylaws.
Pumping and hauling for oil/water separators, sump pits and holding tanks.
Preventive clearing of kitchen drain and sewer lines.
Semi-annual hood suppression system checks and tagging.
Annual inspection, recharge and replacement.
Monthly and annual tests with logbook records.
Dining rooms, washrooms, high dusting and periodic resets.
Vacuum-truck clean-out of parking lot and driveway storm drains.
Drive-thru lanes, patios, sidewalks and building exteriors.
Degreasing and sanitizing to keep pests and odours away.
Where a service requires specialized licensing, it is delivered by vetted, certified partners and managed by SKY — you still get one point of contact, one schedule, and one invoice.
Every Ontario municipality regulates what goes down a restaurant’s drain through its sewer-use bylaw. The details vary by city, but the rules most kitchens are measured against look like this:
Toronto and Ottawa require service before grease and solids reach 25% of the interceptor’s liquid volume.
Ottawa requires interceptors to be professionally cleaned monthly, or sooner if they hit the 25% limit.
Ottawa and York Region require maintenance records kept for at least two years and shown on request.
Toronto and York Region prohibit enzymes, bacteria and other agents that push grease through the trap.
Waterloo Region requires food businesses that discharge fats, oils and grease to hold a sewer-use permit. Not sure what your city requires? Send us your address and the size of your trap. We’ll tell you your service frequency in one business day, free.
We arrive in a quiet window between your rushes, protect the floor around the trap, and open the unit.
Floating grease, water and the settled solids at the bottom all come out. Nothing is skimmed and left behind.
Walls and baffles are scraped, inlet and outlet are checked, and anything that needs repair is photographed and flagged.
Maintenance log entry, photos, disposal record and your next service date, in your inbox the same day.

SKY Facility Services is part of the SKY Group of Companies — an Ontario hospitality platform that owns and operates quick-service restaurants.
That matters because we don't see your kitchen as a job site. We see it the way you do: as a bylaw obligation, a fire-safety and insurance requirement, a health-inspection variable, and the engine of your business. Our standards were set in our own kitchens first.
The long-term goal is simple: be the only facility vendor a restaurant needs. We're proudly Canadian, fully insured, and built for the long term — the kind of vendor relationship where the same crew knows your kitchen, your alarm code procedure, and your opening time, year after year.
"I’ve had a drain back up in the middle of a lunch rush and wondered whether the trap had actually been pumped out or just skimmed. As an operator, I know exactly what a restaurant needs from this service: show up when promised, do the whole job, document everything, and never show up in the middle of a rush. That’s the entire business model of SKY Facility Services."
Tell us about your kitchen and we'll come back within one business day with your bylaw service frequency and a firm quote. No walkthrough fees, no pressure.
